ABOUT
Rahib Taher
I’m a journalist, photographer, filmmaker, and creative technologist from Queens, New York.
My work moves between reporting, documentary filmmaking, photography, and interactive objects. I studied journalism and computer science at Northwestern University, where I developed an interest in both how stories are told and how technology shapes the ways we experience them.
BACKGROUND
Reporting & storytelling
My reporting includes coverage of the Texas primary in San Antonio, essays on music and fashion, and earlier journalism for The Science Survey. At Northwestern, I also worked on a documentary following two Ukrainian international students navigating their lives far from home amid the war in Ukraine. The film was featured at amdocs 2026.
EXPERIMENTS
Images & objects
I photograph places and people, often on film, and I’m developing wearable objects that connect physical interfaces with digital expression. Current explorations include a programmable display belt buckle, expressive rings, and an audio-message pendant.
