Programmable Belt Buckle
A wearable display that turns a belt buckle into a programmable canvas for personal pixel art, photographs and animated loops. The screen can cycle between saved images; a companion phone app is planned for uploading and sharing graphics.
Intended experience
Wearers choose an image or GIF from a small library and tap the display to move to the next one. In a future phone app, they could create playlists, upload new graphics and share designs with other owners. This page demonstrates image switching with three supplied GIFs; wireless transfer is not implemented yet.
Proposed components
Planned: a 2.4–3.2-inch landscape color screen; Seeed XIAO development board and expansion board; single-cell 3.7 V rechargeable LiPo with compatible charging; asset storage, touch or physical control, and a belt-safe enclosure. A Bluetooth-capable microcontroller or module would be needed for wireless syncing.
